Who?

My name is Alec Hamilton, nice to meet you.

As a kid, I’d ask my parents, “What should I draw?” before covering the back of a restaurant placemat with doodles, tongue out like Michael Jordan, creating my next pen-scribbled masterpiece. Move aside kid’s menu, I needed my blank canvas! That love for creating never went away.

I studied Fine Arts at the University of Cincinnati and my biggest inspirations come from the little weird things in life; wildlife (have you seen the inside of a leatherback sea turtle’s mouth?), mid-century stamps (my favorite being a Grimm fairytale series from West Berlin), and the odd trinkets I’ve picked up along my travels. I started out illustrating wildlife and designing stickers for myself and have since become a multi-disciplinary artist and designer working with brands and publishers to help bring their own visions to life.
